08/08/2016

A new economic development agency is taking shape in Leon County. Public and private sector leaders were drawing up a strategic plan for the organization Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Center for Advanced Power Systems in Innovation Park.

Ben Pingree, who heads the joint City/County Office of Planning, Land Management and Community Development, said more than thirty of the area’s best and brightest were part of the process simply by providing feedback at the session. Attendees were asked to provide feedback about what economic development means to them, what strengths and opportunities exist in their community today, and what tools are available to further the economic development process.
