National Manufacturing Month

October 1, 2023 – October 31, 2023

The goal of National Manufacturing Month is to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Events sharing information on careers in manufacturing with students are held in October and throughout the year.

The Big Bend Manufacturer’s Association (BBMA) will celebrate with a plant tour of a local manufacturer for Leon County high school students. The purpose of this tour is to:

  • Change the perception of careers in manufacturing to reflect its true status as the most advanced, high-tech industry in the country.
  • Re-establish the U.S. as the global leader in manufacturing education.
  • Advocate for education and job training policies that strengthen the U.S. manufacturing workforce.
