OEV Invites Local Businesses to Join the 2025 Love Your Local Campaign

Celebrate and support the unique businesses that make Tallahassee-Leon County thrive.

The Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) is inviting local business owners across Tallahassee-Leon County to participate in the 2025 Love Your Local campaign. This community initiative highlights the small businesses that define the heart and character of our community.

Launched in 2018, Love Your Local encourages residents to support locally owned retailers, restaurants, and service providers throughout the holiday season and beyond. This year’s campaign features new promotional opportunities, updated business toolkits, and expanded media outreach through OEV’s digital and community channels.

“Local businesses are the backbone of our community, and each one contributes to our economy, creates jobs, and gives Tallahassee-Leon County its unique flavor,” said Keith Bowers, Director of the Office of Economic Vitality. “Love Your Local celebrates these entrepreneurs while helping residents discover and support them in meaningful ways.”

Businesses that sign up for the Love Your Local campaign receive:

  • Free promotion through OEV’s marketing channels and partner networks.
  • Spotlight opportunities in media stories and social campaigns.
  • Official Love Your Local decal to display in storefronts.
  • Inclusion in local gift guides and business maps, driving more customer traffic.
  • Access to collaboration opportunities and co-op promotions with other local businesses.

Participation is free and open to all locally owned businesses in Leon County, including retail shops, restaurants, personal service providers, and visitor-facing establishments. To join, business owners can visit LoveYourLocalTLH.com/add-your-business and complete the simple sign-up form.

OEV aims to increase participation by 20% this season, adding more than 100 new businesses to the existing network of over 560 participants.

“Every purchase from a local business strengthens our community,” said Bowers. “When residents choose to ‘Love Your Local,’ they’re investing directly in the future of Tallahassee-Leon County.”
