The Tallahassee-Leon County Intergovernmental Agency (IA) Board unanimously approved a $375,000 funding request for Neighborhood Medical Center’s new on-site pharmacy, a project designed to expand healthcare access in an underserved area while creating new workforce opportunities. In addition to improving patient access to prescriptions and healthcare services, the project is projected to generate nearly $3.9 million in economic output, support 11 jobs, and create approximately $1.5 million in wages and income.
The pharmacy is expected to open in late summer and will strengthen care coordination by bringing pharmacy and clinical services together under one roof.
