Dineta O’Hara
Business Development Manager

With over a decade of experience in community engagement and development, Dineta has held diverse roles across various organizations. Prior to her current position at the Office of Economic Vitality, she served as the Community Engagement Coordinator for Gwinnett County Government. In this capacity, she successfully co-led community engagement initiatives for the County’s 2045 Unified Plan, involving a wide range of stakeholders and over 950,000 residents in Georgia’s second-largest county. In addition to her primary role, she spearheaded project management efforts in workforce development for the Division of Economic Development and neighborhood revitalization for the Division of Housing and Community Development.

In a previous role as the Economic Development Coordinator at the City of Clarkston, Dineta directed a varied portfolio of economic development projects, emphasizing job creation, business expansion, and community development in Georgia’s most diverse city. These projects not only played a pivotal role in the city’s economic growth but also contributed significantly to enhancing overall community welfare.

Dineta’s diverse career includes serving as the Outreach Manager at South Central Primary Care Center, focusing on healthcare outreach, and improving health literacy. Additionally, during her 8-year tenure at Albany State University as a Community Engagement Specialist, she executed projects that substantially increased student participation, formed strategic partnerships, and led successful fundraising campaigns for underserved male communities.

Dineta, an alumna of Albany State University, possesses dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Public Administration, specializing in Community Economic Development. Her unwavering commitment is evident in her dedication to fostering growth, empowerment, and lasting positive impact within both her local community and the business sector.
