TCC Spark! Entrepreneur’s Forum

TCC Spark Entrepreneur's Forum

On June 20th, 2017, OEV’s Cristina Paredes moderated the first TCC Spark! Entrepreneur’s Forum at the TCC Center for Innovation. The Entrepreneurs’ Forum series provides a space where mentors can share their stories of starting businesses, overcoming obstacles, and becoming successful in their fields, with the aim of helping attendees succeed themselves.

The event included a panel discussion focused on making Tallahassee a stronger entrepreneurial community. Panelists included Domick Ard’is, Director of Incubation Programs and Operations at Domi Station; Steve Dunnivant, Tallahassee Community College Dean of Business, Industry and Technology; Jerry Osteryoung, Business Consultant and Jim Moran Professor of Entrepreneurship and Professor of Finance at Florida State University; Steve Millaway, Founder and CEO of TechFarms, LLC; Ron Miller, Executive Director of the Leon County Research and Development Authority; and Wendy Plant, Director of the Center for Student Engagement in Florida State University’s Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship. The casual environment and panel structure also gave attendees the chance to ask questions and converse directly with panelists, both during and after the event.

Stay tuned for the second Entrepreneur’s Forum on July 11 and other upcoming events here.
